Gatwick Airport is 28 miles south of London and is found by exiting the M23 at Junction 9. The M25 London Orbital motorway is just a ten minute drive from the airport for onward journeys and the national road and motorway network. Travelling by Train

Gatwick Airport is just 30 minutes from central London via train using the Gatwick Express rail service. The airport also has links to many other destinations on the national rail network around Britain.

Gatwick Express (

Without question, the quickest train service to transport you to central London. The Gatwick Express service takes you from London Victoria Station to the South Terminal in just 30 minutes, with trains departing in both directions every 15 minutes. Should you need to reach the North Terminal via train, simply use the free transit train found at the South Terminal, which takes just a few minutes. At the time of writing, a standard single ticket costs around £17 and a return ticket around £29. Tickets can either be bought at your departing station or onboard the train.

Destinations with First Capital Connect include London Bridge and St. Pancras station in the capital as well as Brighton, Bedford and Luton for onward connecting services to other parts of the UK. Again, direct services are available if travelling to London, with an average journey time totalling 35 minutes. Gatwick is extremely well served by a number of coach services that transport airport users to more than 400 UK destinations, with many of them direct to the more major towns. Most coach services depart/arrive from Gatwick’s South Terminal apart from the Heathrow/Gatwick National Express service, which leaves passengers at the North Terminal. National Express’s London coaches are direct to the Victoria Coach Terminal in central London, with services operating regularly during the airport’s operating hours (06.00 – 23.00). Easybus offer a cheaper alternative, with some coaches costing as little as £6 per person each way, also operating to the airport from Victoria.
